I, THE PARTICIPANT, AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS IN CONSIDERATION OF MY BEING PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE AT THE COURSE/COMPETITION

1. Course Agreement

1.1. I have read and understand the conditions of the course (including any accreditation or entry conditions) in the Course Overview.

1.2. I agree to abide by these conditions, and I understand that failure to complete the required activities and evaluations by the required dates may mean that my place in the course may be removed

1.3. I acknowledge and understand that by participating in the course I am thereby (if not already) deemed to be subject to: 

• the WPV Anti-Doping Rules
• the WPV Classification Rules
• the WPV Code of Conduct and Ethics

I agree to familiarise myself with and to comply with all relevant provisions of these standards and to raise any questions regarding their scope or application with WPV. 

2. Use of Images and Materials

I agree: 

2.1. to be filmed, televised, photographed, identified and/or otherwise recorded at any stage during the period of the Course/Competition

2.2. that any captured or recorded image, together with my name and any other necessary and relevant information, may be used during the Course/Competition and thereafter in connection with the Course/Competition or the sport of ParaVolley in accordance and in compliance with WPV’s Data Privacy policies and standards

2.3. not to make - without the permission of WPV - any image or recording at the Course/Competition other than for my own personal use

2.4. that all course material is the property of World ParaVolley, and is only accessible to the course participants and that sharing course content in any form (including but not limited to screenshots, video recordings or live feeds) with a third party without the prior written permission of World ParaVolley is strictly prohibited.

3. Use of Data

I confirm and understand that participation in the course requires World ParaVolley to process my personal data (including name, email address and any other optional information I provide) for registration and purposes of the facilitating and organising the course(s), World ParaVolley eLearning and Participant role related to the sport. 

I acknowledge and understand that this processing will be subject to World ParaVolley’s data privacy policies and that in particular I agree and understand that:

3.1. any personal information provided by me (personal information) is accurate, complete, and up to date. 

3.2. all personal information provided by me to WPV is provided for use in connection with the Course and/or the associated Competition but may be shared with and used by the organisers of the Course and/or Competition and responsible public authorities, with this information being used for the following purposes:

a) logistical matters relating to the Course and/or Competition

b) the granting and maintaining of accreditation and certification

c) security and risk assessments

d) administration such as accommodation and travel

e) research including injury and sport safety research

3.3. my personal information (which may include information relating to my health) is being used to allow me to attend the Course and/or be accredited for the Competition.

3.4. my personal information may be used by WPV, the organisers of the Course/Competition and/or responsible public authorities for the purposes of investigating and/or taking action in respect of any breach of applicable rules, and/or the conditions of this agreement

3.5. my personal information may be used by WPV for the purposes of maintaining an updated contact list in the respective area of training (pending successful completion of the relevant course), and subsequent potential appointments in the area of training at future competitions.

3.6. my personal information will not be kept beyond the purposes identified in this agreement unless it is anonymised and/or there is a legal purpose for retaining it

3.7. my personal information may be accessed by me and that I have the right to and correct or have erased my personal information 

3.8. I may ask that my agreement in relation to the use of my personal information can be withdrawn at any time but that this will result in my being unable to participate in the Course/Competition

4. Risks and Claims

I agree that I participate in the Course/Competition at my own risk and that:

4.1. I agree that I am responsible for all equipment, adaptive equipment, and property I bring to the Course/Competition and sites and that neither WPV or any Course/Competition organiser will have any responsibility for loss or damage to, or arising from, such equipment, adaptive equipment or property.

4.2. I release WPV (to the extent permitted by law) from any claims relating to any loss, injury or damage suffered by me in relation to my participation in the Course/Competition activities.
